This is the story of one of Italy's greatest and most talented cartoonists, Andrea Pazienza. It descrives his eleven-year career that began in 1977 in Bologna when he created Pentothal and ended with Pompeo, and Pazienza's death from a drug overdose. The film is also the story of Italy during those important years of great social change. The film includes interviews with some of Pazienza's closest collaborators, friends and family members like Milo Manara, Sergio Staino, Tanino Liberatore, Marina Comandini Pazienza and Bifo Berardi. Paz '77. The story of a tragic genius.
