Samuele, a waiter, and Sara are engaged. They also do voluntary work for a group of old folks, and Samuele's favourite is Mr Sorelli. When the old man dies, he leaves Samuele four billion lire. Samuele is rich and neglects his old friends and forgets all about Sara. He lives the high society life and surrounds himself with rich new friends and gets a new girlfriend called Vanessa, a sophisticated glamourpuss.
