A small village on the slopes of Vesuvius. A child spying on some young girls and a Man who may be watching, or may be remembering. Out of time or perhaps in time, sacrifice is repeated. Every summer a young girl is given to the volcano as a bride. The child fights with her, the boy kidnaps her and the Man commands her sacrifice. And she dreams of being lost in love and death. Finally the rains arrive and everything repeats itself.
