Marta and Nicola, two brilliant journalists, suggest a new TV program to the network director. The show would target people living at night, all the silent people who don’t want to know about mediocrity, about screams and brawls. People seeking more vital and deeper senses.
The crew leaves for shooting, travelling across the continent, interviewing characters who enlighten about other possible worlds. Samarcanda, Buchara, Riga, Helsinki are the halting places of the journey that from physical crosses into the metaphysical.
Marta starts having a recurring dream in which a shaman tells her about a journey back in time, to early-19th-century Vienna. Here Marta looks for Prince Lichnovsky, Ludwig Van Beethoven’s brotherly friend. A long flashback starts with a dream and then reality that rebuilds the events, the joy, the friendships, the misfortunes of the last two years of life of the great German composer.
