In a “distant” country, a refugee camp is run by a multinational peacekeeping force. It is night. Amidst the tents and huts of the camp, a handful of soldiers from different nations are holding a random drawing to decide who will be entrusted with an extremely delicate “rescue mission”. The most reluctant appears to be Salvatore, a Neapolitan whose attitude makes it clear that there is little heroism (but also no false bluster …) in his heart. Following a series of weak, clumsy manoeuvrings and second thoughts, the man “chosen by destiny”, the “accidental hero”, turns out to be Salvatore, whose name just happens to mean “Saviour”!
