In 1993 Pippo Delbono knew that he had been ill for four years. Deciding to escape, he went to India. Fascinated by what he saw, he made a film there. He comments: «Sixteen years later, I know I was trying to escape what I felt was my approaching death. I landed in Bombay. I felt ill. I went to Benares, on the banks of the Ganga, Mother Ganga. I had come to discover Indian dance. In everything I looked at, I saw dance.» |
