Rita, a blind child, lives in a neighbourhood of Palermo. She is stubborn, curious and feels thwarted by her overprotective mother. The claustrophobic world of her home is suddenly breached by a mysterious presence. It is a small time crook on the run and wounded. The meeting between the two of them, highly enigmatic, ends at the sea.
