The first part of a project on Jean-Marie Straub’s adaptationsin which Guelfi observes the filmmaker as he shoots Le Streghe, femmes entre elles (2009), and a crew that includes Renato Berta on picture and Jean-Pierre Duret on sound. We see his hesitations and patient search for the right camera position, a particulr lighting effect, colour, or tone of voice.
