Germana is an unemployed actress and mother of a girl Monica. Lover of an older man Massimo, who is a rich lawyer. By chance, she meets the handsome Gianmarco and with him starts a love story. Elizabeth, a young doctor in crisis with her husband Aldo, decides to invite her friend Germana to come to Sicily. During the vacation, also in the respective differences of life, their friendship becomes stronger, even if comes to surface a series of unexpected events and ugly truths.
