The film points the finger at Eugenio Cefis. In the novel "Petrolio", which Pasolini was working on before his death, there is a character named Aldo Troya that would be just an alias for Cefis. Pasolini suggests that this man had a role in the massacres linked to the Italian oiltrade, as the death in a mysterious air crash of Eni president Enrico Mattei, and international plots. We know that the writer was right on documenting Cefis and perhaps because of this investigation he was killed. |
