2011: Year of Italy in Russia starts in Moskow
Moskow International Film Festival: June 23rd - July 2nd
A long ride of Italian cinema sbegins at Moskow Festival in June: 2011 has been declared Year of the Italian Culture in Russia and of Russian Culture in Italy
, and the program of audiovisual events will last until December and touch 8 cities: St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kansk – Krasnoyark, Kazan, Blagovescensk, Ekaterinburg, Orenburg.
Events are organized by Direzione Cinema at Ministero dei Beni Culturali, Cinecittą Luce, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Zori Film (Moscow) and Mondo Mostre.
Main Sponsors are: ENEL, ENI, FINMECCANICA, POSTE ITALIANE, TERNA.
In Moskow the Italian delegation will include Michele Placido

Aside the selection of contemporary films, the festival organizes a huge retrospective titled “Viaggio in Italia, 1675 km of Italian Cinema”, in copperation with Cineteca Nazionale and Cineteca di bologna.
