“Jung” means war and it is a word that for the Afghan population, after a conflict lasting more than twenty years, means everydayness and normality. Jung (Giang) - In the Land of the Mujaheddin is a narrative documentary which follows its protagonists’ human and professional adventures: they are Gino Strada, a surgeon from the Emergency health organisation, who is accompanied by Ettore Mo, a special correspondent for “Corriere della Sera”. The Emergency Project is extremely important: to open a hospital in Northern Afghanistan, land of the Mujaheddin, for war victims.
