Three friends, Orazio, Oreste and Oronzo, aged 42, 41 and 40, are small businessmen in a provincial town. Their dream is to open a restaurant in Cuba, on the gorgeous beach of Gardalavaca, in the Province of Holguin. Orazio is happily separated from his wife Giorgia, with whom he has a son named Osvaldo. Oreste, unhappily separated from his wife Guendalina, clashes with her almost daily, though they are no longer together. Oronzo has been engaged for ten years to Isabella, a very pretty pharmacist. His friends teasingly call him "The Green Mile", referring to his stay of execution (...of marriage).
