Director, Mimmo Calopresti, goes searching for an actress that can best represent the new Marilyn Monroe, in his next film. In spite of a great number of auditions in which the actresses are told to recite from a Truman capote novel, the director has difficulty in finding the woman he already has in mind. A little girl accompanying him during this quest, constantly reminds him of the dream he has envisioned , someone with the ingenuity and curiosity that he is looking for. The director will try and make a selection, but in the end, just before the first take, will realise he is unable to find an icon like Marilyn Monroe. The dream of Marilyn dancing through the night, always remains.
