The Renaissance as seen through the eyes of one of its main characters: Eleonora of Aragon. Daughter of a king, woman of state, wife and mother, she was the emblem of the so-called female power, a different, and feminine, way of expressing the art of command through diplomacy, seduction and intuition. Eleonora deftly outmanoeuvred her enemies, avoided battle and was aware of the importance of being able to blend indomitable spirit with benevolence. She raised her family to love culture, making Ferrara a capital of the arts and theatre.
