These excerpts, specially edited for the Locarno Festival, come from a conversation with Otar Iosseliani in his Paris home in the autumn of 2010. The footage forms part of the Parole e utopia project of filmmakers Alberto Momo and Donatello Fumarola. Their aim is to make a map of contemporary cinema in words and images, an atlas which brings together the films and the directors they admire, encountered in various places around the world over a period of over a decade.
