Director’s statement
In 2010 I read the thesis on Massimo Troisi’s cinema by Antonella Coluccia, with an audio interview with the author. This discovery sparked the idea to construct a “journey” through the artistic sensibility of Massimo. The voice of the actor, director and producer represents the key to the story to which I sought to give a particular visual form. To bring his words to “life” and make them interact most effectively with the other accounts, I supported them with a sequence of unpublished photographs taken on sets and provided by the Troisi family and the archives of Mario Tursi.
