As every year Filmitalia, the International Promotion Dpt of Istituto Luce Cinecittà, organizes the Italian selections for the Busan and Tokyo festivals.
Please be informed that you don’t need to submit the film online and/or pay submission fees if you participate in the selections organized by us.
We kindly ask to send us the submission of your film by email (you can find the contact persons for each festival below) asap together with a link with English subtitles.
The films must not have already been sent in previous versions/titles to the above mentioned Festivals before.

26° Busan International Film Festival (October 6th - 15th, 2021)
Deadline for material submission: Monday, July 12^th.

Eligibility criteria: films completed after October 2020. Priority will be given to International and World Premieres. >Full regulations<

33° Tokyo International Film Festival (October 31 - November 9, 2020)
Deadline for material submission: Friday, July 23^rd.
Delegate: Shozo Ichiyama (Programming Director).
Eligibility criteria: films not yet released in Japan, completed after January 1, 2021. World and International Premieres are given priority. The Tokyo International Film Festival does not select short films, films that are available on the Internet, TV (including IPTV) or in-flight movies, and films commercially released on DVD, VOD or any other format. Films selected in the main competition of the major International Film Festivals are eligible only in the World Focus section (out of competition).
