Filmitalia is organizing the Italian selections for the 72. Berlinale.
From November30th to December 2nd, Carlo Chatrian, Director, and Lorenzo Esposito, Delegate for Italy and member of the selection committee, will watch Italian films at Cinecittà in Rome.
From November 26th to 30th, we will host Cristina Nord, director of the Forum section for the pre-selections.
Feature films produced during the 12 months preceding the festival (from February 2022) are eligible for the pre-selections.
For Competition and Encounters, World or International premiere is mandatory. For Panorama, Forum and Generation, the minimum requirement is the European premiere.

We wish to point out that it will not be necessary to submit the films on the Berlinale website and pay the submission fee, you can just send an email indicating the title and name of director to the following contacts:

Please send a link and a DVD or Blu-ray + a pressbook of the title you are submitting (preferably with English subtitles), indicating the section you wish to apply for, by the deadline of Friday November 18th.
