TIFF’s breadth of programmes and initiatives are designed to trigger creative and cultural discovery through all aspects of the moving image, and to provide new academic opportunities and social experiences by introducing diverse communities to the language and power of film. TIFF year round programming includes existing programmes and activities such as: The Toronto International Film Festival, Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children, Cinematheque, Reel Talk, Canada’s Top 10, Student Film Showcase.
In 2010, the organization launches TIFF Bell Lightbox, a breathtaking five-storey complex located in downtown Toronto, providing a permanent home for film lovers to celebrate cinema from around the world. Designed by innovative architecture firm KPMB, TIFF Bell Lightbox’s fluid structure encourages exploration, movement and play and features 5 cinemas, 2 restaurants, learning studios.
